Roger L. Pierce, 68, of Augusta was called home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, with his family at his side.
Roger, the oldest of 3 siblings was born Nov. 2, 1947 in Eau Claire to Roland and Jula (Toycen/Nelson) Pierce. He grew up in New Auburn and spent most of his adult life in Augusta.
Roger enjoyed the outdoors, nature, fishing, hunting and auctions. He especially enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada with family and friends. One of the highlights of his life was hunting caribou in Alaska with Tim Herrick. A special thank you to Roger’s friends and neighbors, Dick Price and family, Barb Balliett and Bob Ives for all the care, help and kindnesses given. We would also like to thank his doctors, Dr. Jalil and Dr. Caporusso, their staff and the nursing staff at Sacred Heart Hospital.
