Theresa A. Abate, (nee DeSipio) of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016. She was aged 84 years.
Legacy
A loving, sincerely honest woman who dearly cherished the time spent with her family is the legacy that Theresa leaves. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Theresa met and married a young man by the name of Michael Abate. Together they shared 52 years of marriage and raised two children before he passed away in 2001. Theresa's kitchen was the heart of her home and countless hours of memories were made there with all of the wonderful meals she prepared for everyone. Theresa enjoyed dancing, cooking and trying her luck at the Casinos. Most of all; she enjoyed doting on her family and creating memories that they will now cherish as her legacy.

Theresa is the beloved Wife of the late Michael; devoted mother of Daniel (Donna) Abate, Sr. and Marianne (Scott) Abate-Beavers; dear grandmother of Emalee Beavers , Mitchell Beavers, Jessica Beavers, Michael Abate, Daniel (Sandi) Abate, Jr. "DJ" , Kristy (Vaughn) Crouthamel, Melissa (Michael) Jackson, Fran (Alaina) Molloy and Rachel Varga; great grandmother of 10.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday morning after 10 AM in the Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua; where her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30. Interment will follow in New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
