On June 20, 2016, after a year-plus of battling a progressive rare brain disorder affecting movement, Sheila Margaret Campbell of Lakewood, daughter of the late Everett Gaeley and Marcella Frances Campbell (nee Kernan), died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Sheila was attended and enlivened by a remarkably unified and concerned staff throughout her stay at Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve in Westlake.

Sheila was the eldest of six, playing that role with unparalleled success, is survived by her sister Jane Terese Campbell (Donald B. Gilles) of New York City, brother Michael G. Campbell (wife Betty) of Tampa, FL and brother William V. Campbell (wife Carol Ann) of Cleveland. She is preceded in death by her brothers Thomas Kernan Campbell (wife Karen) and Jerome Joseph Campbell (wife Judith) of Manhattan Beach, CA. Sheila is the beloved aunt of Hallie (John) Fenn, Ryan Campbell, Carrie (Kyle) Braun, Mark (wife Lauren) Campbell, Jerome Campbell, Meghan Campbell and Michael (wife Jessica) Campbell, Jason (wife Kelly) Campbell, Sean (wife Julie) Campbell and Brendan (wife Anne) Campbell. Beloved great aunt of 15 nieces and nephews.

Sheila was born August 17, 1938 and worked at WKYC-TV for 34 years, surviving under many different ownerships, in Human Relations/Interviewed prospects for hire/and Employee Benefits and was known for her knowledge, dedication, unquestioned loyalty, absolute trustworthiness and sincerity with all the employees under her guidance. She retired in 2000, continuing her lifelong interests in travel, philosophy, religion, theatre, art and most of all MUSIC! She did volunteer work for several organizations. She graduated from Lourdes Academy High School in 1956 and received her Bachelors in Sociology from Cleveland State University while working full time.

On Friday, June 24, 2016 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., friends received with the family at Zeis-McGreevey Funeral Home, 16105 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107.

At 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 1, 2016, the Mass of the Resurrection is to be held at St. Christopher Catholic Church located at 20141 Detroit Road, Rocky River, OH 44116. At 10:00 a.m. friends will be received prior to Mass in the gathering room at the church. An internment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery, 32789 Detroit Road, Avon, OH 44011.
