Samuel Collins was born August 23, 1937 in Newlin, Hall County, Texas and was called home on June 20, 2016.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Vada Collins. Children, daughter Nancie Bamonie and husband Fred Bamonie, son Steve Collins. daughter Kathy Crenshaw, son Andy Collins and wife April Collins, son Tony Collins and wife Amy Collins, son Kevin Collins, sister Lona Jones and husband Troy Jones, brother Butch Collins and wife Linda Collins, grandchildren Tory Cook, Christy Smith, Danyelle Ropp, Erica Collins, Josh Collins, Justin Collins, Katie Cook, Jonathon Crenshaw, Stephanie Cook, Madison Giblin, Brody Collins and 12 great grandchildren.

He was proceded in death by his parents Archie Collins and Nancie Daniel Collins and grandson Tim Dumas.

Sam spent the majority of his career working for Southwestern Bell, GTE, and as a private telephone contractor. In his retirement he worked in the sporting goods department at Mansfield Wal-Mart for 12 plus years.

He loved his family, sports, fishing, baseball and making his famous Samburgers.
