Joyce M. Blaisure, 84, of South Montrose, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Gracious Living Estates. She was born in Dimock Twp., PA, to the the late Harry L. and Bridget L. (Kane) Greene. Her 2nd husband, Donald E. Blaisure, predeceased her on February 11, 2016.
She is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl (Rudy) Charvarie, Paula (Bob) Remington, Cathy McCain, four step-daughters, Edilu (Walt) Hunt, Edith (Doug) Wood, Edile (Richard) Harrington, Ediye Phelps, 1 daughter-in-law, Nancy Lake, 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and her two cats, Bonnie and Belle. She was also predeceased by her 1st husband, Searle Lake, son, Chris Lake, and her step-grandson, John Santacroce, and eight siblings.
Joyce loved her family, especially her grandchildren and cats. She loved family gatherings like Christmas Eve dinner and Easter egg hunts. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting, ceramics, quilting, and soup nights. Joyce was a member of the South Montrose Community Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion Gardner-Warner Post # 154 Montrose, PA. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016, at the South Montrose Community Church, with Rev. Jane M. Pykus of the South Montrose Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in the South Montrose Cemetery. Visitations will be at the church from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Sunday.
