Dennis was a self-made carpenter. He owned and operated his own business and constructed many homes in the area. He had a natural ability with wood working and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening. He was talented cook and loved cooking for others.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 36 years, Cathy (Shank) Walters, daughters, Jill (Aaron) Kane of Bowling Green and Jennifer (Jason) Blevins of Jeffrey, West Virginia, foster daughters, Loretta (Colby) Ehlers of McClure and Elizabeth Thurman of Swanton, 10 grandchildren, and brothers, Tom (Sandra) Walters of Jacksonville, FL and Alan (Gerrie) Kedocia of Napoleon. He was preceded in death by his father, Jay Lee Walters, mother, June (Nielson) Kedocia, step father, Alex Kedocia, and brother, Anthony Kedocia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Grelton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 p.m.and Tuesday 10-11 a.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Henry County or to the family of Dennis Walters, which will be placed into a future college scholarship fund to help trouble teens.
