Keith McKinley Powell 34 of Rt 9 Hickory died Monday at an area hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born Dec 13, 1952 in Cabarrus County he was a son of Steve McKinley and Gay Sheets Powell.
He was a department manager with Food Lion.
Survivors in parents include addition to his his wife Barbara Cazire Powell; a son Jason McKinley Powell of the home; a daughter Jennifer Anne Powell of the home; two brothers Kenneth Powell of Conover and Kevin Powell of Chapel Hill; four sisters Krystal Broyhill of Conover, Kellie Powell of Taylorsville and Kathy Johnson and Karen Pearson of Hiddenite; paternal grandmother Essie Byrd of Hickory and paternal great grand tnother Mollie Poarch of Drexel.
The funeral will be conducted by me Rev Delbert Roth and Vicor Brian Roberts at 2 pm Wednesday at'the Drum Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Catawba Memorial Park.
