Mrs. Frank Schanding, aged 21 years, died Monday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Smith, four miles south of town, after a long illness of consumption. Mrs. Smith was a splendid Christian lady, and a member of the Baptist church. She recognized the fact that she had to go, and said she was ready and willing to meet her Savior. Deceased leaves a husband and one three-year-old daughter to mourn her loss. Mrs. Schanding was born in Menefee County Jan. 3, 1890, and united with the Blanket Creek Baptist church in 1906. She lived a faithful consistent Christian life. She was always patient and cheerful, and truly grateful for any little attention during her long illness. She was the second of that family to be called to the great beyond in the last two months. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.” Interment took place Tuesday in the Sunrise Cemetery.
