She was the granddaughter of Harmony Society founder Johann Georg Rapp.
She established managed the Society's silk industry. She played the pianoforte and the reed piano, sang soprano, and organized the women's choral group, and also taught music theory class. She painted in water colors and sculpted wax flowers.
