Mrs. Stevenson was the daughter of Charles and Irene (Rippel) Bogard. She graduated from high school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On October 23, 1954 she became a pastor's wife when she married David Stevenson in Minneapolis. They lived in many locations in the United States through the years and in 1991 arrived on Whidbey Island where her husband was pastor of the Whidbey Evangelical Free Church in Greenbank.
