LAYTON – Lillie Marguerite Thompson, 80, passed away June 15, 2016.

She was born January 2, 1936 the daughter of Cortis and Helen Veil Craney in Bastrop, Texas.

Lillie married Lee Arthur Thompson on June 20, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2006.

She had resided in Bastrop, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Nellis AFB, NV; Richard Gebour AFB, MO; George AFB, CA; Wiesbaden, Germany; Hill AFB, UT; and Layton, UT.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Lillie loved gardening, crossword puzzles and collectibles.

Lillie never met a stranger that did not become her friend. She was very loving, giving and open to everyone, with a timeless sense of humor.

Surviving are her son Anthony Thompson, Layton, UT; daughter, Cheryl Thompson Marquez, Layton, UT; sister, Ruby Hendrix and brother-in-law, Earnest Hendrix, San Antonio, TX, brother-in-law, James Thompson, Ft. Washington, MD; and sister-in-law, Mellie Ashley, Simi Valley, CA.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lee Arthur Thompson.
