Etta Harris of Oceanside, Calif., passed away at age 85 years on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside.

Mrs. Harris, the daughter of the late J. L. and Virgie (Sutton) Lee was born July 11, 1930 in Arkansas. She was a member of Family Fellowship Church in Oceanside Calif. During her earlier years she worked as a restaurant cook and baker, while enjoying her family and serving God and the community. Her passions included, traveling and loving her great and great-great-grandkids.

Survivors include her children: Virgie Morton and her children, Laquisha Winston, Sheshall Langford and James Langford; Queen Langford and her children, Virgil Brown and Linda Brown; Donald March and his children, Ronnie Bonne, Tahita Purnell and Michael Purnell all of Poplar Bluff; Dorothy March-Cox and her husband Tony and their children, Claude March, Gina Beard, Donna Gordon and Derrick March; Cleartha Davis and his children, Cleartha Blackmon, Sheryl Davis, Anthony Hubbard, Antonio Davis, Gweandlyn Davis, Cleathra Davis, Lathisha Davis, Dennis Davis, Dorothy Davis, Malcomb Davis and Jacquelyn Davis all of Oceanside, Calif.; Jack March and his children, Brandon March, Jack March, Jr., Vanessa March, Jannik March and Joel March of Wiesbaden, Germany; Mosezella Harris and her children, Demetrius Armstrong, James Armstrong, Jr. and Moneka Bowens of New York; Rosetta Sidon and her son, Bryant Gavins; and Angela Harris and her children, Danisha Harris, Taurus Harris, Jamal Harris, Jakeel Harris and Angela Harris also of Oceanside Calif.; Deana Foust of Chanute Ill.; the children of her deceased daughter Irma, Robert March, James Boyd and April Boyd; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and friends.

Her husband, the Rev. Mose Harris as well as two children, Irma Boyd and Gene Autry Brown, a brother, L.B. Lee and a sister, Lorene Cunningham preceded Mrs. Harris in death.

The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with the funeral service following at 11a.m. The Rev. LeRoy Williams Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
