Doris Elizabeth Brazil Clay, age 94, of Celeste, Texas passed away June 22, 2016 in Farmersville, Texas. She was born February 9, 1922 in Greenville, Texas to Leroy and Lucille Frazier Brazil. She married Quentin Clay on June 15, 1940 in Kingston, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith. She worked for Fisher Controls as an assembly worker.
Doris is survived by; son, Marty Clay of Merit, Texas, grandchildren, Zane Clay and wife Shaina of Blue Ridge, Texas, Tori Skidmore and husband Nolan of Merit, Texas, two great-grandchildren, Avery and Andi, sister, Joy Welborn, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, parents, brother, Clifton Sumrow, sister, Claudia Seigler, brother, Jerry Brazil, sister, Oleta Hoffman, brother, J. L. Brazil.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas 75442. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Rev. Shawn Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow in Merit Cemetery
