Sylvia Nicely Warren, age 87, of Clifton Forge, Virginia died at her home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

She was born November 12, 1929 in Alleghany County to the late William Newton and Elizabeth Conner Nicely.

She was a retired supervisor from the former Emmett Memorial Hospital and was also a retired clerk from the Chesapeake and Ohio Hospital Employees Association. She was a member of Millboro Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lake Warren; and seven brothers, Elwood Nicely, Graham Nicely, Ira Nicely, Theodore Nicely, George Nicely, Clivie Joe Nicely, and Bernard William Nicely.

She is survived by a step son, Gary Warren and wife Debbie of Crofton, MD; a step grandson, Greg Warren and wife Jessie; a step great granddaughter, Riley Lake Warren; a sister-in-law, Virginia Nicely; a special niece, Sue Nicely, her husband, Steven, and their son, Steven; and a special nephew, Tony Nicely.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery, Millboro with Reverend Lloyd Via officiating. Interment will follow immediately. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends attending the service. The family will visit will friends at on Saturday afternoon, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Tommy Slusser, 4701 Riverland Road, Clifton Forge, VA or to Millboro Christian Church, PO Box 282, Millboro, VA
