He was born to Mary and Albert Schwab in Nyack, N.Y. on July 31, 1954. In 1955 they moved to Green Rd. in West Nyack, NY.
Billy attended West Nyack Elementary School and Clarkstown Junior High School in West Nyack. He also completed programs at Jawonio and attended a workshop at Better Days, both in New City, NY. He attended weekly mass at St. Ann’s Church in Nyack, NY.
Billy had been employed by Rockland Community College, Finkelstein Memorial Library and American Tack and Hardware.
He loved to read books, complete crossword puzzles and listen to music. However, his true passion was aimed towards sports, especially baseball and especially the New York Mets. He would closely follow the Mets every year, whether they were winning or losing. His passion for baseball as well as music and American history led him to possess in-depth knowledge in these areas.
Billy was a very kind hearted person who showed love toward his family, friends and especially animals.
He is survived by his brother Paul Schwab and sister Theresa Schwab of West Nyack, NY and brother Robert, his wife Kerri and their daughter Alexandra of Jamesport, NY.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 23,2016, 4-7pm at Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 S. Broadway, Nyack, N.Y.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Jefferson St., Nyack, N.Y.
