RICHMOND, Ind. – David R. ‘Dave’ Abrams, age 61, of Richmond, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Reid Health. Born February 14, 1955, in Winchester, Indiana, to Virgil T. and Barbara Letha White Abrams, Dave moved to this area when he was 12 years old. He was a 1973 graduate of Richmond High School. Dave worked in the engineering department for Reid Health for 20 years. He liked to show and work on old cars. Dave was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Pamela Durham Abrams, to whom he was married on July 20, 1974; daughter, Kristin (Brandon) Miller of Spiceland, Indiana; son, Mike (Teresa) Harmer of Pershing, Indiana; grandchildren, Alexis, Jessica, Emily, and Rebecca Harmer, Matthew and Katelyn Miller, Darrell Baker III, and Wyatt Miller who is due in early fall; mother; sisters, Lisa Abrams and Faye (Mike) Stigleman, both of Richmond; brothers, Dallas (Sandy) Abrams and Troy Abrams, both of Richmond; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Claire Miller; father; and sister, Sue Abrams. Visitation for David R. ‘Dave’ Abrams will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. James E. Slaven officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
