CARROLLTON - Jane E. Henderson, 90, of Carrollton, formerly of Irondale, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the Golden Age Retreat in Carrollton, Ohio.

She was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Summitville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold D. and Martha J. (Davis) Gill. Jane was the youngest of the four "Js" Jim, Janet, Joe, and Jane.

Jane graduated from Irondale High School in 1943. She married her husband, Quenton Henderson, on Aug. 10, 1944, and lived in Irondale for fifty-eight years. They operated Henderson's Valley Market in Hammondsville from 1970-1986. Jane was the oldest living member of the Irondale United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Irondale Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son: Richard Henderson and his wife, Sue, of Carrollton; four grandchildren: Kelly Blanchard, Jennifer Blanchard, Jess Henderson, and Kady (Brad) Long; one great-granddaughter: McKenna Long; one sister-in-law: Jean Grimm; and her lifelong friend: Jane Ann Tolson.

In addition to her parents, husband, sister, and two brothers, Jane was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Ann Blanchard.

The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Crowe of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
