Mrs. Kathryn Kirk died at St. Mary’s Hospital where she had earlier worked as a nurses’ aide. Mrs. Kirk lived in Watervliet most of her life. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Watervliet, and a member of the Rosary Society.

Mrs. Kirk was the daughter of the late Victoria Ryder and Richard Purcell. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred J. Campbell of Latham; one son, Richard J. Kirk of Watervliet; one sister, Mrs. Helen Oathout of Latham; two brothers, Edmund Purcell of Haynerville, and one grandchild Kirk Campbell.

The funeral was held Tues., Oct. 2nd from the Cummings Funeral Home, 643 3rd Ave., Watervliet, and from Sacred Heart of Mary Church where a Solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated.
