Jewell "J.C." Wright, Jr., 56, of Candler, died on Monday, June 20, 2016.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe Co., J.C. was a son of the late Jewell Carlton, Sr., and Barbara Woody Wright. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jacob Wright, and special friend, Bo Davis.
Mr. Wright worked for Milko Inc. for 28 years. He loved the lake, mowing and the outdoors, and college football, especially Clemson. He filmed for Asheville High School football for 15 years. He had been a member of New Morgan Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Wright is survived by his daughter, Kristie Wright; grandchildren, Cressida, Mason, Joseph, Sharon, and Lexi; and best friend, Greg Smith.
The memorial services for Mr. J.C. Wright, Jr. and Mrs. Lynette Wright will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Trinity Baptist Church of Asheville. The Revs. Roger Boone and Allen Rash will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the church, prior to the service.
