Bert Bernard of R D 1, Sharpsville, a resident of South Pymatuning Township for the past 50 years, died at his home yesterday following an extended illness.
Mr. Bernard who was 85, had been a farmer all his life. He was born in Fowler, O., Feb 19, 1873, the son of Jonas and Lemira Doud Bernard. He married the former Lola Titus on May 3, 1897. She survives.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Evelyn, wife of Thomas Craine, Sharpsville, and Isabell, wife of John Scott, Los Angeles, Calif.; three sons, Arthur and Dewight, both of R D 1 Sharpsville, and Howard of Transfer; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
