Christopher Stephen Carroll, 69, of West Ashley passed away onto Heaven on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 a.m.
The family will receive friend Friday evening in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
Stephen or "Steve" as he was better known to family and friends, has been a major icon in the Irish community in South Carolina for the twenty-eight years that he has been in Charleston. Steve was a well-known fixture at Tommy Condon's Irish Pub and Seaford Restaurant in Downtown Charleston.
Steve brought his gift of Irish music to many people over the years. No one could entertain a crowd like Steve, who would sing from his heart for everyone to hear. His voice and the genuine love that he had for everyone he ever met will truly be missed by all of the people he blessed with his presence.
He is survived by his siblings, Mary Ellen (Nelly), Liam Carroll, Maurice Carroll, Maureen Mezzaarabba, Tom Carroll, Kay Robinson, Lillian Mansour, Pauling Kottermann, Roseleen Burke, and Phyllis Dordechter; children, Theresa Herne her husband John Herne, Christopher Carroll his wife Olivia Carroll, Jennifer Carroll and Brandon Clark, Christa Elrod, Christian Carroll and Erica Bloodsworth, Patrick Gallagher; grandchildren, Sabrina Herne, Payton Carroll, Cheyenne Herne, Cody Herne, Tommy Herne, Brayden Clark, Greyson Carroll, and Kaelyn Clark.; many nieces and nephews and other family member around the world.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Theresa Carroll, siblings Dennis, Eugene, John Carroll and sister Charlotte Kelly.
