"BENJAMIN, Utah County—Sidney Bruce Willes, 58, died Wednesday in a Spanish Fork hospital after a lingering illness. Born June 23, 1899 in Lehi a son of John S. and Christie Winn Willes. Married Elma Hansen June 15, 1931 in Provo. Served in Marine Corps in 1918 and 1919. Worked for Kennecott Copper in Nevada for 20 years. Moved to Benjamin in 1938. Member Pipe Fitters Union, and of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving widow; sons Eldon Ray, now serving mission- for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Georgia; Sidney Blaine. with U.S. Army, Ft. Ord, Calif.; a daughter, Jeanette Willis, Spanish Fork; one brother; three sisters. Funeral Monday 1 p.m. in Benjamin LDS Ward chapel. Friends call Walker Mortuary, Spanish Fork, Sunday 7 to 9 p.m., and at Benjamin Ward Relief Society room Monday prior to services. Burial, Spanish Fork City Cemetery, military honors by American Legion Post'68.
