Funeral services for James Arthur Sharp, 69, of Concord, who was found dead beside a road in that community Sunday, May 11, were held the following Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Emmaus, with the Rev. O.J. Runge and the Rev. Charlie Alexander officiating. Interment was in the Emmaus Cemetery.
An inquest verdict of death from natural causes was returned by Justice of the Peace J.H. Odom of Jacksonville.
Surviving are two brothers, Bert and Charley Sharp of Troup; and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Johnson and Mrs. Arthur Stuart of Concord.
