Son of Jean Francois Thomas Clabeaux and Anna Marguerite Maire. Came to the U.S. in 1831. Occupation: Ship carpenter. Husband of Thaney Gentlehomme and Susan Rosate Williams. 1862 he enlisted with the 155th New York Volunteer Regiment, Co. K. Wounded in action at Cold Harbor, VA June 3, 1964. Father to Phillip Edward, August, Peter, Julia, Emily, Mary, and Ellen. His name is often mispelled as Claboux and many variations thereof.
