CLARKSBURG — Dorothy Marie Hupps Adams, age 72, of 2545 Park Drive, Sanford, FL, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Clarksburg, WV, March 28, 1936, a daughter of the late Peter Phillip Hupps and Mrs. Geneva Barker Hupps of 406 Oakwood Avenue, Stonewood, WV.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Debbie Adams Stone, Sanford, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert G. and Rebecca Hupps, Stonewood, WV; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Norma and Harry Sanders, Clarksburg, and Rosemary Hupps Paugh, Stonewood, WV; two grandchildren, Tabitha Adams and Adam Stone; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy had been employed as a press operator for a dry cleaners in Sanford, FL.

Friends may call at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg, from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jerome Lewis and Dr. James A. Ash presiding. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
