James R. Maysey Jr, 54 of Hardinsburg passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN.
James was born July 3, 1961 in Brandenburg, KY to the late James R. “Tooter” Maysey, Sr and Linda King Maysey Brown.
He loved about anything outdoors and was a great fisherman, hunter and finding arrowheads. He loved telling jokes, making others laugh and was always very considerate of others. During most of his life he worked on the river as a Pilot of tugboats where he had the privilege of being outdoors most of the time.
James leaves behind to celebrate his life and memories is his wife, of 35 years, Tina Owens Maysey of Hardinsburg; mother, Linda (JC) Brown of Paynesville; son, Dylan Maysey of Hardinsburg; daughters, Krista Maysey of Tell City, IN, Jennifer (Adam) Davis of Cloverport; brother, Jeff (Kathy) Maysey of Elizabethtown, KY; 8 grandchildren and 1 on the way; mother-in-law, Alice Baker of North Vernon, IN.
Funeral service for James will be 11:00 am, Saturday, April 9 at Burns Funeral Chapel, 208 East Main Street, Cloverport, KY 40111, 207-788-6440 with burial following at Cloverport Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, April 8 at Burns Funeral Home.
