Gerald ‘Gary’ Robert Mc Intosh, 72, of Avoca, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA. Gary was born on April 10, 1944 in Dodgeville the son of Milo and Eleanor (Dax) Mc Intosh. He graduated from Muscoda High School in 1962. After high school he started farming on the family farm. In 1972 he married Deborah Herfel in Verona to this union were five children. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. As a family they went on yearly camping trips to many state parks around Wisconsin. Gary loved attending many various school events for his grandchildren. He was an avid Packer fan.
Gary is survived by his wife of 43 years Debbie of Avoca, his children: Julie (Nordean) Putz of Avoca, Jenny (Russell) Koch of Muscoda, Jill (Jason) Maas of Neenah, Joann Mc Intosh of Avoca, and Andrew Mc Intosh of Avoca; nine grandchildren: Amber, Aaron, Alayna, and Addyson Putz, Matthew, Macy, and McCoy Koch, Charles and Cody Maas; two brothers: Tom (Regina) Mc Intosh and Rodney (Laura) Mc Intosh; two sisters: Judy (John) Crapser and Cindy (Bernie) Hying; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Avoca. Burial will follow in the Avoca Cemetery with Pastor Steven Schneider officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home in Muscoda and again at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Avoca from 12:00 PM until the service time at 1:00 PM.
