Madison/Tomahawk - Ann J. Richardson, age 62 passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 following a long battle with cancer. She was born on January 19, 1954 in Burlington, Wisconsin, the daughter of Bruce and Joyce Thompson.

On September 7, 1974, Ann was united in marriage to Robin Richardson at St. John's Lutheran Church in Burlington. She worked for Demco as a project manager in the IT department for many years until her retirement in April 2015. Ann was also a decorative painter of gourds and was a member of the Society of the Decorative Painters. Over the years, she taught many painting classes. She was also a faithful member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Madison and most recently Zion Lutheran Church in Rhinelander. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ann is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Robin R. Richardson; her mother, Joyce Thompson; and three siblings, Steven (Mary Ann) Thompson, Mark (Rhonda) Thompson and Robin Ann (Roy) Neal. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1701 McKenna Road, Madison on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00 am with Reverend Philip Moldenhauer officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00am until the time of service. Private family burial will follow at Burlington Cemetery in Burlington, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Ann to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
