Heather Elizabeth Bertrand, 18, of Beaumont passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Heather was a native and lifelong resident of Beaumont where she attended school until the 11th grade. She was currently a Senior at Hamshire-Fannett High School. Heather was a member of the National Honor Society and was employed as a car-hop at Sonic Drive-In in Beaumont. Heather lived life to its fullest and enjoyed everything, especially snowboarding.
Heather is survived by her parents, John and Becky Bertrand of Beaumont; grandparents, Janice and Duane Kelly of Silsbee and Fred A. Simon of Beaumont; great-grandparents, Ward and Essie Nusom of Beaumont; great-great grandmother, Mrs. Sidney Nusom of Beaumont; aunts, Delores Bertrand of The Woodlands, Peggy Fontenot of Batson, and Judy Crocker of Caldwell, Texas; uncles, Daryl Bertrand and wife Paula of Beaumont, Ronald Bertrand and wife Debbie of Creole Springs, Ill., Tom Watkins of Beaumont, and Buddy Nusom of Gist; cousin, Kyle Nusom and many of cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Heather will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2005 at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the funeral home.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Heather's name to the charity of your choice.
