Jacob H. Borell, aged 61, a resident of Rock Island county for 33 years, died this morning at 2:30 o'clock at the home, 1207 Second street, after an illness of but two days with pneumonia. Mr. Borell was a native of Switzerland. For a number of years he had been employed as a molder at the Rock Island Stove company's works. He was a member of the Rock Island Molders' union, of the Knight and Ladies of Honor, of Davenport, and of the Swiss Veterans' society of Davenport. Besides his wife he leaves eight children: Henry Borell, Rock Island; Mrs. Fred O'Neill, Chicago; Mrs. Joseph Fennell, Davenport; Mrs. Joseph Parker, Rock Island; Ellen, Sadie, Albert and Ernest, at home. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home.
