Carol Lee Ganskow, 63, of Nanjemoy died July 20, 2006 at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.
Mrs. Ganskow was an office manager for Sotterly Plantation. Before working for the Sotterly Plantation, she had previously worked for Maryland Unlimited Communications, Inc. in the late 1970's to 1980's in La Plata and then for the U.S. Treasury department until she had children. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross, a volunteer for Sotterly, a Junior Pilot, a member of the Pink Ladies, a volunteer for the Charles County Literacy Council, and a Notary Public. She also enjoyed ceramics, reading, traveling, and wine tasting, and helping anyone who needed help. She also had attended her 10 year, 20 year, and 40 year class reunions at Surratsville High School.
Born February 17, 1943, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late George Dixon and the late Jean Petty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel M. Coppage.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Ganskow, daughter Lisa Ouellet and her husband, Mike. Son, Frank J. Polievka, Jr, sisters, Brenda L. Wedding, Barbara Davis, and Diane Gittings. Grandchildren Mathieu Ouellet, Luc Ouellet, Frank J. Polievka, III, and Kayla C. Polievka and Nephew Rich Bennett.
