Bobby Ray Allen, 54 of Mooringsport, LA passed away on June 20, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, LA, officiated by Rev. Chester Coffman. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. There will be a time of gathering and visitation from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 23rd at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.
Bobby was born on May 22, 1962 in Shreveport, LA to Billy and Mary Allen. He lived in Mooringsport most of his life, and was a derrick man in the oil field. Bobby loved riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing; but most of all he enjoyed family gatherings, a cold Budweiser and good bar-b-que. Bobby loved to work and diligently helped others without expectations. He was known for his selfless spirit and always gave thanks to the Lord for everything.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Billy Allen and his uncles, Larry Raymond Little and Clarence “Goose” Little. He is survived by his mother, Mary Allen and Don Davis of Mooringsport, LA, one God Child, Crystal Livingood Jetton and husband Jason of Benton, LA, his nephew, Jake Collins of Vivian, LA, his sisters Penny Livingood of Mooringsport, LA and Sherry Collins of Vivian, LA, and brother Billy Allen Jr. of Mooringsport, LA. He is also survived by his grandson Jackson Cole Jetton, several nieces and nephews and some really close friends.
Pallbearers will by Billy Allen Jr., Jake Collins, Justin Collins, Gary Schmidt, Ronnie Livingood and Jasen Duos. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Collins, Don Davis and Tony Coffman.
