Mrs. ANNA EVELYN MATHEWS BUSSARD KINGREE, 90, of Frederick, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009 at the College View Center. She was the wife of the late John M. Kingree and the late Elmer E. Bussard, Jr. Born in Poolesville on Nov. 3, 1918, she was one of nine children of the late Arthur W. and Grace Magaha Mathews.

Anna was always a hard-working lady and for many years she was a health caregiver for many people. She was a member of the Grace Community Christian Church, Food and Friends at Feagaville and enjoyed the AARP senior citizens luncheon. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking, bingo and spending time with her family and laughing.

Surviving are her four sons, Elmer F. Bussard, III, John R. Bussard, Douglas E. Bussard, and Ray M. Bussard; one sister, Florence Zimmerman, Feagaville; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michael and Brenda Bussard; a great-grandson, Nathan Wayne Bussard; four brothers, Russell, Walton, Raymond and John Mathews; and three sisters, Goldie Heflin, Dorothy Putman, and her twin, Edna Mathews.

Services were held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home; interment was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
