Funeral services for Ruby Nell Woods, 83, of Yantis, are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Boler officiating. Burial will follow at Yantis City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Ruby was born on July 3, 1932 in Yantis to Reed and Flora Mae Fenner and passed away June 19, 2016 in Winnsboro. Mrs. Woods worked as a café manager for 35 years and was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. She was a Yantis resident for 20 years, coming from Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lionel Borel.

Survivors include husband Harold Woods of Yantis; two sons, Tim Baxter and wife Katie of The Colony and Steven Baxter and wife Karan of Rockwall; three daughters, Paulette Miller and husband Barry of The Colony, Kathy Shaw of Little Elm, and Sandra Woods of Dallas; one sister, Marilyn Reynolds of Terrell; 9 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers are Adam Baxter, Barry Miller IV, Corbin Satterlee, Jason Keefe, Alex Moore, and Eric Moore.
