"Ms. Linda L. Finch, Equinunk, PA, died on June 16, 2016 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, after an extended illness.

Linda was born June 1, 1955 in Hancock, N.Y., the daughter of Irwin and Dorothy Finch. She attended Hancock Central School.

Linda was fiercely independent, living on her family's property in Equinunk her entire life.

She especially enjoyed hiking in the nearby mountains and was a generous host for numerous fishermen on her riverfront property for many years. She also enjoyed reading, was an avid fan of Zane Grey novels, and she adored her beloved cat, Fluffy.

Surviving are her aunt, Edna Werner, niece, Catherine Finch, and cousins, Marilyn Shaffer and David Werner.

She never married and was predeceased by her mother and father in addition to a brother, Douglas Finch.

A graveside gathering will be held at the Pine Mill Cemetery, Equinunk, PA, from 1:30-2:30 on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 with a committal service at 2PM.

Donations can be made in Linda's memory to the Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Dr., Honesdale, PA 18431.
