He was married to Catherine Anne (King) Marks on June 12, 1955, and she survives. He was a 1949 LaFontaine High School Graduate. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean War. He retired from Thompson in Marion in 1995. He was a member of the LaFontaine United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Chris Marks, LaFontaine, and Brian (Lisa) Marks, Wabash; daughters, Julie Kay (Gordon) Guenin, LaFontaine, Nola (Scott) Smith, Huntington, and Tina (Jason) Scott, Bluffton; 10 grandchildren, Brittany Marks, Marion, Andrew and Seth Guenin, LaFontaine, Megan and Mark Marks, Wabash, Nick and Tiffany Bridenthal, Fla., Tyler and Taylor Smith, Huntington, and Bree Scott, Bluffton; and 1 great-grandchild, Tyler Matthew Perry, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and 3 sisters.
