Frank Q.A. Bryant
(December 31, 1927 - June 20, 2016)

U.S. Veteran
Frank Q.A. Bryant, 88, of Jasper, AR went home to the Lord, surrounded by family, on June 20, 2016 at the Arkansas Hospice facility in Russellville after a battle with cancer.

Frank was born on New Year's Eve, December 31, 1927 to Roy Bryant and Nettie Kysar Bryant in Doniphan, MO. He was the fifth of 10 children raised on a farm in Mexico, MO.

After high school, Frank enlisted in the Army. He served his country for three years, two of them in Germany. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Kansas City, MO and began working for General Motors in 1948.

In 1952, Frank saw a young beautiful woman named Alice Burdine walking to work. They fell in love the moment they layed eyes on each other and were married in the spring of 1953. Four years later, his son Franklin Alan Bryant was born. Frank and his family resided in Kansas City, MO, and after 30 years at General Motors, Frank retired and he and Alice moved to Jasper, AR.

Frank has always kept busy, and while he was retired, he, his son, brother and nephew ran a hog farm in Pelsor, AR for 10 years. He also loved spending time outdoors. He liked riding his four-wheeler, working in his garden, fishing, he even liked chopping wood - anything that kept him active. Frank loved his church, Deer Baptist Church, and attended every Sunday. He loved helping others as much as he could and he loved spending time with his family.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Nettie Bryant, his brothers Alvin Bryant, Leroy Bryant, Aubrey Ray "Bob" Bryant, and his sisters Louise Bryant Duthu, Ruby Bryant Lang, and Helen Bryant Robinson.

Frank is survived by his wife of 63 years Alice Bryant, his son Franklin and wife Gail Bryant, his two grandsons Dustin and Daniel and wife Chasity Bryant and his great-granddaughter Kaylynn Bryant. His surviving brothers and sister are Lindel Bryant, Milus Bryant, and Audrey Faye Bryant McCulley.

On Tuesday, June 21, a visitation service will be held from 6pm-8pm, followed by a memorial service on Wednesday, June 22 at 1pm with Brother Bill Counts officiating. Both services will take place at Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper, 410 West Court Street, Jasper, AR. A military graveside service will take place at Crossroads Cemetery immediately following the memorial service.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Bryant, Daniel Bryant, Franklin Bryant, Stacey Bryant, Boyce Burdine and Billy Burdine. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deer Baptist Church members and Kenny and Lisa Jones.
