H.O. Babb Jr., 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 18, 2016. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet. "Jr" was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Paris, Texas, to H.O. Babb Sr. and Johnie Kate Rose. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and retired from General Dynamics after 42 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John, Wendell and David; and his beloved wife of 66 years, Jozelle Allison. Survivors: Children, Linda Hornsby and husband, Jay, of Arlington, Don Babb and wife, Isabel, of North Richland Hills and Melvin Babb and wife, Susi, of Fort Worth; sisters, Donita Poteet of Texarkana, Rose Holcomb of Pittsburg; brothers, Danny Babb of Houston and James Babb of Paris; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
