John Jansen, age 65 of Tellico Village,TN (formerly of Louisville, KY) passed away on June 20, 2016. John was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.

After graduating from Northern Kentucky University in 1973, he began a 41 year career in the life insurance business. He earned his CLU designation in 1981. He retired in February from Columbian Financial Group as Regional Vice President of the Southwest Territory. Among his many interests were golfing, boating, singing and traveling. Also, he was a University of Kentucky basketball and football fanatic. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ryan Jansen. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Denise L. Jansen; his son, Jeremy Jansen and wife, Sari of Marietta, GA; his daughter, Natalie Judy and husband, David of Farragut, TN; beloved grandchildren, John and William Jansen of Marietta, GA; Ellen and Madison Judy of Farragut, TN; his father William Joseph Jansen of Florence, KY; his sister Mary Beth Wilson of Florence, KY; his brother Stephen Jansen of Florence, KY. The family would like to thank the team at Duke University Hospital and the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center for their care and support.

The family will receive friends at Click Funeral Home (145 Chota Center, Loudon,TN 37774) on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (1580 St. Thomas Way, Lenoir City, TN 37772) with Father Douglas Owens officiating on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00am. Inurnment will be held immediately following the mass at the church.
