November 08, 1921 - November 18, 2016
In Loving Memory of our mother Evelyn Lucille Sires who passed away on Nov. 18. 2016. She had a stroke which left her paralyzed on her left side and affected her ability to eat. She tried hard but after a long battle chose to go on Hospice. She was the sweetest, kindest, most forgiving person. We were very blessed to have her as our mother and for so long.
Mom was born in Eldorado, OK. on Nov. 8, 1921 to Augusta and Gladys Skinner. She was a graduate of PVHS. She was a retiree of Security 1st National Bank and later had a Fabric and Gift shop in the Sires Bldg. Mom was the youngest of two girls. Her older sister, Nina Webb, passed on Sept. 24, 1979. Mom was active in Eastern Star and in earlier years the Jr. Women's Club. Mom will be missed so very much, but we will see her again.
She was married to JC Sires. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister.
She is survived by her three children, Janet Jones, Linda Jeffcoat, and Joel Sires, and 2 grandchildren Sydney Jeffcoat and Janet Jeffcoat, four great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
There will be a Graveside Service at the cemetery at 11 am on Tue. Nov 29th officiated by John Montgomery, her great nephew who is the Dean of Spiritual Life at CBU in Riverside.
