James C. Beasley of Eaton, Ohio died on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at his home. He was born in Camden, Ohio on September 11, 1936, the son of James Clarence Beasley and Juanita (Wright) Beasley. He was a 1954 graduate of Camden High School. He attended the University of Indiana at Earlham College and majored in Business Accounting. He served 3 years in TK.CO, 2nd BN, 107 A.C.R., O.N.G. and trained at Fort Knox Kentucky. He served over 60 years in the Mechanical Contracting Business and held many mechanical licenses in Ohio and other states. He spent many years with the H. J. Osterfeld Co. of Dayton, Ohio and was President & C. E. O. of J. C. Beasley Co. of Richmond, Indiana for 15 years before being sold to the Oberle-Jordre Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1980. He returned to the H. J. Osterfeld Co. in 1985, and stayed with the company when it sold to S&D Mechanical in 1995. He served as Authorized Representative of ASME & National Board of Steam Boilers Code piping from 1985 to 2015. He was a member of several trade & engineering groups in the U.S.A. & Canada. He served many years on the management side of Local 162 Plumbers and Pipefitters Pension Fund. He served on the City of Dayton and Montgomery County Building Standards Board of Appeals for many years. He was awarded the Lifetime Service Award from the Mechanical Contractors Association of Greater Dayton and the MCA Welding Group in February of this year.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna (Withrow) Beasley, whom he married on December 17, 1954 in Camden, Ohio. He is survived by three daughters, Linda (Neal) Cameron, Eaton, Ohio, Susan (Dean) Peverly, Archbold, Ohio, and Nancy Fulcher of Eaton, Ohio. He also leaves seven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sisters Barbara Rossi, South Pasadena, California, Janice Beasley, Menifee, California, and brother Tom (Cindy) Beasley of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence & Juanita Beasley and his sister Mary Sue Beasley.

Friends will be received on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 2:00 pm until time of memorial services at 3:00 pm at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH. Interment will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton, OH.
