Susan D. “Susie” Powers (nee Mayse) 59, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 following a long illness.

Susie was born March 25, 1957 in Mullens, West Virginia and resided in North Ridgeville for most of her life.

She received her BSN and was a Registered Nurse. She had attended Cathedral of Life Church in North Ridgeville. Susie was very independent and had strong leadership skills. She liked being outside, was a big Cleveland Browns fan and loved all sports. She especially loved spending time with her family whom she deeply loved.

She is survived by one daughter, Sarah Powers; three sons Joseph (Renee), Daniel (Mindy) and Jack Powers; six grandchildren, Autumn, Julia, Dillon, Owen, Zoe, and Zemma Powers; her father, Jack Mayse; one sister, Jacqueline Mayse and one brother, Leonard Mayse (Doddie); and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lavinia Mayse (nee Webb) and two sisters, Elizabeth Whiting and Marina Kimble.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 12 Noon at Cathedral of Life Church, 5375 Jaycox Rd., North Ridgeville. Pastor Terry Murray will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
