WILLIAMSTON - Barbara Jean Clark Leggett, 74, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Sexton officiating; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.
Barbara was born in Martin County on Feb. 14, 1939, daughter of the late Roy and Lillian Whitehurst Clark. She was retired from the Martin County School System where she worked as a server in the cafeteria for many years. She was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. In 1956 she married Leroy Leggett who preceded her in death in 1995.
Survivors are a daughter, Dale Harrison and husband, Tony, of Bear Grass and their children, Jennifer Harrison Syers and husband Kevin, and Patrick Harrison, and their grandchild, Caleb Syers; sons Randy Leggett and wife, Michelle, of Jamesville and their daughter, Kathryn Leggett, and David Leggett of Williamston, sister, Mae Whitley of Robersonville; and brother, Russell Clark of Williamston.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home of Dale and Tony Harrison 1121 Five Cent Road.
