Mrs. Sara Lou Kirkland Scott was born in Emanuel County to the late Robert A. and Ester Harper Kirkland. She was a 1963 graduate of Swainsboro High School. She had worked in the school lunch room and at Ithaca in the sewing division. Sara was a member of Bythinia Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lane Kirkland.
Survivors include her husband, John Robert Scott of Twin City; daughters, Sara Ellen White of Twin City and April Hadden (Jimmy) of Twin City; grandchildren, Sara Amanda Dennis and Mackayla Autum Oglesby; brother, Benton Kirkland (Dollie) of Swainsboro; two sisters, Carolyn Wren of McIntyre and Virginia Herndon (Richard) of Twin City; and, several nieces and nephews.
