Former County Resident Dies
Charles A. Mobley, 70, of 452 Main Avenue, Frankfort, died at 11 a.m. Friday in Clinton County Hospital after an illness of over two years.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Ellers Chapel in Frankfort with Rev. George W. Smith officiating and burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Sunday.
The deceased was born in Tetersburg, June 2, 1893, son of Joseph and Mary Mobley. He was married May 6, 1921 to Thelma Webb and after her death October 3, 1945, he was married July 2, 1953 to the former Mary Riegle Gould.
He had resided in Tipton, Madison and Clinton County and was a retired rug and furniture salesman. He was a member of the Tetersburg Christian Church, the V.F.W. and Veterans of World War I of Tipton County and had served with the U.S. Navy in World War I.
Survivors include two sons, Forest Mobley of Burbank, Cal.; Charles E. Mobley of LaVerne, Cal.; a step son, Beyrl R. Gould, Frankfort; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Morgan of Fort Ord, Cal.; a step daughter, Mrs. Deloris Heavilon of Frankfort, two brothers, Sylvester Mobley of Tuscon, Arizona and Frank Mobley of Sharpsville; nine grandchildren and two step grandsons, nieces and nephews.
