Denise Marie Christman Martin, 58, of Lebanon, died Thursday, June 9, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born in Hartford City to Charles and Martha (Murnyack) Christman.

After graduating from Blackford High School, Denise attended St. Jospeh's Hospital School of Nursing in Fort Wayne, where she received her RN.

Denise worked as a trauma nurse in the emergency room at St. Joseph's Hospital. Upon leaving Ft. Wayne, she worked as a flight nurse with Lifeline out of Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, then as a trauma nurse for 18 years in the emergency room at Methodist Hospital. Denise was later employed with the Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis.

Denise is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Martin of Lebanon; daughter, Hannah Martin of Lafayette; sons, Samuel Martin and Jacob Martin of Lebanon. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Mr. Charles (Lisha) Christman, Mrs. Sandra (Perry) Clamme, Mrs. Patricia (Rex) Cale, all of Hartford City, Mr. David (Tracey) Christman of Eaton, Mr. Daniel (Sara) Christman of Hartford City, Mrs. Elizabeth (Greg) Ellis of Zionsville, Mrs. Elaine (Trent) Myers of Lebanon, Mr. George Christman of Hartford City and Mr. Christopher Christman of Columbia City; as well as 23 nieces and nephews.

Denise was preceded in death by her father, Charles Christman, and her mother, Martha Christman. Her body was accepted as an anatomical gift at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Denise will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
