David L. Dailey, 77, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 8:57 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at IU Health Blackford Hospital in Hartford City, IN. He was born on Monday, December 12, 1938, in Grant County, IN. He married Evelyn L. (Leffingwell) Dailey on Friday, July 26, 1957 at the Oak Chapel Church, Marion, IN.. David was a 1956 graduate of Roll High school. He had attended Taylor University. He had worked at 3-M for 43 years. He had cut trees and removed tree stumps for Dailey Tree & Stump Removal. David was a member of the Oak Chapel U.M. church in Marion where he was very active as a song leader, Sunday school teacher, and a trustee. He enjoyed sports and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his Father - Harry D. Dailey, Mother - Laura M. (Corn) Dailey, Step Grandchild - Eric Dalton, Brothers - Raymond Dailey, and Arthur Dailey.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday.

A service to celebrate David’s life will be at Oak Chapel United Methodist Church 1335 S Jadden Rd Marion at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2016 with the Rev. Josh Johnson and Rev. Al Soultz officiating.
