Martha was the second wife of Samuel Wilmer McKinley marrying in Oskaloosa 20 February 1902, but they were divorced before 1910. They had no children. After they divorced both Samuel and Martha reported themselves as widowed in the censuses, except for the 1930 census where Martha says she is divorced. After they separated, she resumed using her maiden name of Likes. Because she resumed using her maiden name, that is the surname I used for her.
