Willa Wible was born in 1881 to Albert Wible and Nancy Ann Clair near the Wible family home in Mendon Illinois. She had two siblings, Harvey C and Josephine Elvira. In 1899 Willa graduated from the Quincy Conservatory of Music. She was an accomplished musician and taught private lessons. In 1917 she married oilman Byron Kennedy in Wichita Kansas and made their home in El Dorado Kansas where their first child Julia Josephine was born. Two more children were born in Tulsa, Robert Byron and Albert Dale. About 1940 the family moved to Artesia New Mexico where Byron continued to work in the oilfields east of town.
Willa suffered from diabetes and was blind in her later years. She died in 1959.
