Billie Ruth Wheeler Barnes, 94 of Bridgeport, AL, died June 18, 2016 at her home. Billie was the daughter of the late William Alfred and Sallie Ann Troxell Wheeler, born November 3, 1921 in Stevenson, AL. She was a graduate of Stevenson High School, worked as a winder at Avondale Mills, and a member of Church of Christ in Bridgeport, AL.

Besides her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husbands: William Joseph Rich and Reuben Smith Barnes; sisters: Hazel Cameron and Polly Lee.

Survivors include her nephew Billy Hugh Cameron of WI; niece Ruby Marie Armbreuster of OH; great-nephews: Joe (Dorothy) Cameron and Cecil (Ann) Cameron of WI; great-niece Carolyn Spoor of OH; caregivers: Mary (James) Smith of Bridgeport.

Visitation will be Monday, 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 21, at 2 PM CDT in the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Danny Rader and Bro. Roger Comstock. Interment will be in Stevenson City Cemetery.
